Range finders are essential tools for shooters, hunters, bowhunters, and golfers. They provide accurate measurements of distance, which can improve the precision of shots and the hunting experience. When shopping for a range finder, consider the magnification, as a higher magnification will allow for a clearer and more detailed image of the target. Another important consideration when shopping for a rangefinder is the maximum range of the device. Some of the top brands in the industry include Bushnell, Nikon, Leupold, Vortex, and SIG SAUER. With massive stock of golf range finders and hunting range finders, you can take the guesswork out of measuring distances.image

What is a laser rangefinder?

A laser rangefinder, or LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), is a device that uses a laser beam to determine with incredible accuracy the distance to an opaque object. Like a police radar gun, a laser range finder sends a laser pulse in a narrow beam toward the thing. It then measures how long it takes for the pulse to bounce off the target and return to the sender. Take your best shot confidently when you use a digital rangefinder; our laser rangefinders measure line-of-sight distance using eye-safe lasers and precision electronics. Distance is displayed in the magnified monocular, giving the hunter or golfer an accurate view of the field or course. We now even offer range finder rifle scopes! How do range finders measure distance?

Rangefinders measure distance by using a laser or an optical system. A laser rangefinder works by emitting a laser beam and measuring the time it takes for the beam to reflect off the target and return to the device. These give better, more accurate readings when aiming at reflective targets, like water, but are still accurate on opaque objects. An optical rangefinder, on the other hand, works by using two lenses to measure the angle of the target and then using trigonometry to calculate the distance to the target.

Is there a difference between a golf range finder and a hunting range finder?

Golf rangefinders have a much shorter range than hunting rangefinders, usually have a target range of around 800 yardage, including Blue Tee. while hunting rangefinders can pick up distances of 1300+ yards. Golf rangefinders are first priority rangefinders, meaning that they read the closer of two objects in the aiming area.

Can rangefinders be used in low-light conditions?

Some rangefinders are equipped with features that allow them to be used in low-light conditions, such as an illuminated reticle or an infrared laser. However, it's important to note that the performance of a rangefinder in low-light conditions will depend on the specific device, and some may not perform as well in these conditions.

Are rangefinders legal for hunting?

The legality of rangefinders for hunting varies by state, and you should check with your local authorities before using a rangefinder for hunting. In general, rangefinders are legal for hunting in most states, but there may be certain restrictions or regulations that apply.
