Ordered the meprolite nite site for my Ruger LCR .357 Mag Revolver. After watching a short video on YouTube, the original site came off fairly easy, and this new site went onto the revolver just as easily. The new site is secure, works well in the dark, and will no doubt, be a definite improvement over the original factory front site. I'm sure it will function as intended if the need arises, but, contrary to the anti-gun folks, that think that law abiding pro gun people have guns to hurt people, I sincerely hope that I never find myself in a situation to have to test out this new front site, ever! That said, I recommend this site to anyone looking to get an upgrade for their revolver.
Best Used for:
- Upgrade to original platform

The sight performs well and as advertised by the manufacturer. The holes were a little tricky to get lined up and the supplied drift pin did not fit. I was able reuse the original Ruger pin and I do recommend using a tad of glue on the post.
Pros:
- Fits well and does the job
Cons:
- The supplied drift pin needs to be more of ruger's original size and shape

The sight looks great, easy to see.It does not come predrilled like advertised and had to be filed to fit into groove.I had a gunsmith install it...overall a very useful and functional front sight. I'm very happy with it

Purchased these for my Ruger P90. Install wasn't too bad. Makes getting on target much easer. Not as bright in the dark as I would like but still better than factory. If you would like better vision with ease of installing these may be for you.

Disappointed. From advertising I believed I was getting a sight package similar to what is found on a pmr30 pictures even looked similar to me.
I am old I can't see well my sights I have on pmr30 are awsome i could have put glow in the dark paint on the ones I have now instead of buying yours

Really like the way these sights look and work. It’s made a big difference on both daytime and lowlight shooting especially as I’m not as young as I used to be. These are really bright in low light and give a great sight picture.
Pros:
- These sights are really effective. They have brought new life to an older firearm.
Cons:
- There were no real cons to speak of. They were fairly easy to install if you took your time.
Best Used for:
- Helping my aging eyes see the sights more clearly has been great.

I bought both rear and front sights for a Ruger Redhawk. The rear sights fit perfect. The front sights needed a little bit of filing so it would fit into the slot that the sights drop into and lock. No big deal if you take about 20 minutes to get it done. These sights look great and function really well. A little pricey, but I think it is well worth the money.

Yes, the front sight has to be filed down to fit. The length is too long, and the keel underneath is too thick and deep. After very judicious filing I got it to fit flush. The tritium dot on the front sight seems underpwhelming; could be a little brighter or bigger. The rear adjustable sight will drop in, but after it is screwed in, three (3) deficiencies become apparent. The rear sight "jiggles" ever so slightly, so that when you touch it you feel it moving side to side. Second, the rear sight post is slightly longer than the original by 2mm; so there is a 2 mm gap from the buttress of the frame to the sight post. This makes the rear sight post more outstanding and susceptible to being whacked accidentally. Thirdly, lining up the "three dots" creates very fine mismatch, where if you line up the three dots, the top of the front center dot is actually lower than the top of the rear side sights.
Once you get the sight zeroed, yes, it does the job. It does glow in the dark, and so my GP100 is now "night ready". That being said, the company Meprolight had YEARS to read the reviews and make the necessary adjustments to their product, but they instead ignored it. They could've had an awesome product, rather than a mediocre one. Shame on them.
Cons:
- Requires fixing to install. Sub par manufacturing tolerances. Manufacturer apathy to improvement
