According to the manufacturer's website these cases are 11 inches in height regardless of the length. My scoped AR measures @11 inches from the top of the scope turret to the bottom of the pistol grip. Unfortunately I do not believe this product is for me.

This case is heavy and thick, seems like it will hold up well. The 40" case holds My Ruger AR carbine with the butt stock fully extended and has a few inches to spare.

Case fits very well and the separate outside packets hold ample magazines. The case is rectangle in shape and thus semi discreet vs a tapered case. The only draw back is the backpack straps of which I will be cutting off due to being in the way.

Love the case. Good quality, has the little extra pockets that are a bonus. Never really thought about the ability to carry like a backpack but that is nice. Keeps your hands free to carry other things like targets and spotting scope.
Solid construction, padding, straps, etc. Only complaint is that you can't keep a 30 round mag inserted with any optics and get it zipped closed. About one more inch and it would work. Nice product for the price.
